
Brielle Smith is a dynamic communications professional dedicated to amplifying African-American voices and promoting positive representation in the media. Through her studies at the Howard University School of Communication and University of Southern California Annenberg School of Communication, Brielle has honed her skills in public relations, advocacy, and strategic storytelling.
In recognition of her work, She has been named a 2021 Patricia Roberts Harris Public Affairs fellow as well as a 2021 CIEE Frederick Douglass Global Fellow where she traveled to Dublin, Ireland in Fall 2021 as a guest of Ireland’s Department of Foreign Affairs. Brielle is also a cohort member of the 2022 Howard Entertainment program which is a fellowship opportunity sponsored by Amazon Studios. Brielle was also selected as a cohort member of the National Communication Association’s inaugural HBCU PhD Pipeline Program. Brielle has been selected as the 2023 UNCF Frederick Douglass Bicentennial Scholar, a distinction given to one male and one female HBCU student annually, and she is Spring 2024 USC Charlotta Bass Lab for Journalism and Justice fellow.
Brielle is currently a graduate fellow at the University of Southern California as a Master of Arts in Public Relations and Advertising candidate.
